Keeping Your Company ahead of the Curve

Most companies, no matter how small, have some extremely loyal and dedicated customers that can always be counted on to purchase the latest product.  Using them as part of a marketing campaign is not only a great idea, but it will solidify your relationship with this established customer base.  Having real customers endorse a product with a legitimate testimonial can be very beneficial for the brand.  Using existing clients is also a great way to get referrals.  It is important to always show appreciation for those referrals and continue to build a trusting relationship with each and every client.

As a business on the way up, you must remain innovative, think outside the box and test new strategies.  Be creative and try to stay ahead of your competition when it comes to new ideas and inventive way of luring potential customers.  These are modern times and people will just as easily jump on the next big thing, so take the time to experiment and stand out among the crowd.

A great way to keep ahead of your competition aside from thinking outside of the box is by integrating your teams.  Do not keep your marketing team and your sales team separate, they should be working together and integrated into a lot of the same projects.  One cannot exist without the other, and vice versa.  Both teams should support each other, sharing research, data, and ideas.  It is helpful for marketers to understand not just the basics of sales, but the ins and outs of sales within the business and what specific marketing does or does not do for sales.

Speaking of your team and the people that you hire, it is of utmost importance that you hire talented staff to help run your company.  That does not mean that you only need them for their experience on software, yet encourage them to have a personality as well.  People respond well if they believe that someone is being genuine so let them use their own voice and build personal connections with customers.  Tapping into the personal connections made by your employees will only increase your networking web, increasing customers and increasing sales.
